WHO WOULD YOU MOVE A MOUNTAIN FOR?

MOVE MOUNTAINS

WHAT IF WE’VE BEEN ASSIGNED OUR MOUNTAIN… TO SHOW OTHERS IT CAN BE MOVED?

It amazes me how far we can go, hard we can push, and much we can accomplish when commissioned to help another. Isn’t it awesome how in the fall when a farmer is beyond exhausted, if their neighbor is in need, they manage to pull together and complete all their neighbor’s fields as well? Think about those young moms? How does she stay up all night with crying sick children and still muster the energy to serve her family once again in the morning?

They simply do it because the other person needs them. This really doesn’t surprise me. This is how we’re wired.

TO LOVE AND SERVE.

Today, I want to challenge us to give self-love a little thought. How often do we truly ‘plow’ through a task that we know needs doing, for our own growth, our own success? We’ll do it for the growth and success of others… but aren’t we a beloved child of God…just as our neighbor?

I would never want us to have an unjust self-love, haughty and conceited. But God has a great plan for you and me. He sent His son here to die for our continued life. And, it is important that we see our value first and foremost through the eyes of God.

1 Peter 1:18-19 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

Our life is as valuable as the blood shed by Christ himself and I love to see individuals step into a great and humble awareness of their place here on earth, and to come.

What ‘crop’ do you need tilled? What do you want or need energy for, when you feel you can’t possibly continue on?

Today I want us to…

  1. Know we are loved and valuable in a way far greater than any worldly recognition. So we go forth with gusto!
  2. Call on God for the energy to push beyond our belief 🙂
  3. Humbly call on our neighbors too, for help when needed.
  4. And always give God the glory as we receive a helping hand, and a burst of energy from our father, and clarity of our value through Christ’s sacrifice and God’s love.

Last, let us remember that God sent Jesus here to show us the way. By us stepping forth in faith, believing in God’s love for us and working the plans he has set before us with fervent vigor….we show them the way.

Work hard for the plan God sets before you, humbly call on God and others for help, and give God the glory-showing them the way!
