How often can one act make such a huge difference in so many lives?

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21

FOCUS

It can be easy to get lost in this world. To find ourselves seeking material possessions, storing up our reserves with acute persistence, over-filling our stomachs with comforts that bring short-term ease, and binging on television that escapes our tired minds with a need for the next great episode of someone else’s life.

This can be exhausting, and never-ending, and it does not fill.

Today’s verse reminds us to be careful of what our mind and heart desire, and focus on. I feel very passionate about doing all I can to simplify these days… If I can just keep my desires and focus on ONE thing, GOD.

“….there too, my heart will be.”

This is a lovely place, THIS one desire takes care of it all!

It will deeply FEED our soul, wiping away the need to find contentment in food or possessions. It will PROVIDE energy that sustains far beyond our physical endurance. Oh, how He RESTORES weariness when all else fails. He GIVES growth and POWER to any who call on Him.

This I pray is the desire of all our hearts. God.

Today’s blog is a reminder to keep our focus on one thing… as we work, play, and live… He will take care of it all!
