WHAT WERE YOU DOING WHEN YOU LAST LOST TRACK OF TIME?

Focused, Life purpose, Niccie Kliegl

Today I want us to give thought to how we spend our time.

When did you last do something that you enjoyed or were so deeply engaged in it that you lost track of time? It could be an activity that gave you great peace, or energy. It could have been a time of great labor or a time of reflection and thoughtfulness. Either way, you became so focused, with ease.

I believe these times give us a glimpse of our sweet spot. The place where our God-given life purpose collides with our role here on earth. We’ve been gifted talents that come naturally to us and we are asked to use these gifts wisely. Recognizing our God-given talent can often be hard enough, but then what do we do? Figuring out how to use our talents in a way that encourages our God-given life purpose and brings glory to God is the goal.

Know and use our gifts: Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.“ 1 Peter 4:10

If we work on these He will help us: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” Romans 8:28

Win for HIM: I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14

When we work our call for God we have the energy to do hard work and yet still achieve rest: Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

Today, let’s consider that our call from God might be tucked within our ease of labor. When do you lose yourself in serving, giving, thinking, feeling…? I’m going to be having a free webinar on Life Purpose in December so I thought it’d be good to get our wheels turning before then.
