WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD

What A Wonderful World
For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1:16-17
In the states, we are just waking up from a day of gratitude, good food, family time, and festivities. I just love holidays and being around close friends and family. But then, before you know it… it’s back to the real world. As I woke this morning, with Thanksgiving over, I felt nudged to still blog a message of thanksgiving.
For us to see this world for the beauty it still provides, day to day.
Spring and fall often heighten one’s awareness of Gods amazing work in our world. Nature itself so rich and fragrant. Truly stopping long enough to breathe in nature, soak up soulful music, or take delight in a carefree child or animal helps. But, the little things are so easy to blow by in the mad rush of our days. Our minds can get snatched up by our messed up politics before our first cup of coffee and fifteen minutes of news if we are not careful. It is so disheartening to see how awful we treat each other, or even how loose our moral compasses have become- and that is when our outlook on life can go south.
When we wake to these thoughts, the worries of today-they too easily become our focus-above all else.
How good are we at waking to praises each day? Doing this one thing each morning will impact us greatly. It is written and so easy 😉 … If we don’t forget.
I thought about including a bunch of Bible verses on gratitude and giving thanks here to inspire us. But we know we need to do this. Instead, ‘Let’s keep it simple’. Think about how happy God would be IF WE ALL simply woke, and before even opening our eyes, gave a simple but truthful thanks. Thanks for being alive, for nature, our work, for our children and grandchildren, for our homes… No fancy Bible verses need quoting, no eloquent verbiage required. Simple-thankful-truth.
Before we even step out of bed let’s send off a quick message to our maker. As we acknowledge God great work in our life we begin to settle into his power. over all else, and this eases our thoughts away from the difficulties and hardships of this world.
He is our almighty creator, ABOVE IT ALL AND OVER IT ALL.
I love the song, ‘What A Wonderful World‘ by Lee Williams & Harvey Watkins, Jr. And I love how it is played in a movie where the scenes had been absolutely desperate…and yet somehow there is still a way to see and feel God’s goodness in this crazy world, restoring gratitude.
Have a beautiful day Friends,
