THAT IS A GREAT VERSE BUT WHAT ABOUT WHEN WE DON'T EVEN SEE THIS HEAVINESS COMING? WHEN WE FIND OURSELVES IN THE DUMPS BEFORE WE KNOW WHAT HIT US?
Matthew 11:28 is brief, direct, and so supporting. However, as I stay in the Word more, I am learning to lean on other related verses to support the next. This can help make simple and wonderful verses like this one seem so hearty... just when you need it! So tonight I want us to look at several other verses that support this call to lean on God during heavy times. Look at all the light, guidance, support, and help we have around us at all times.Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. Psalm 28:7
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? Matthew 6:27
So share this email and blog post with anyone in need. Remember the short and to the point verse of Matthew 11:28 as you feel your first wave of wilt or heaviness set in. And remember to look deeper into the Word when you need an extra boost. There truly is so much support, truth, and light around us at all times, we just need to lean in.Faith Infused Living...
