What about the times when faking it will never do?
There is a popular saying, "Fake it until you make it." With this phrase, the focus is all on the psyche. I like it in many respects, understanding its intention to keep you moving forward with a goal that seems unreachable. By doing the uncomfortable steps it takes to achieve a particular goal, it leads the way to a new comfort zone. One that you soon feel natural in. "Faith it to make it" seems to reference the heart, mind (psyche), and soul. When someone is stuck in a foothold, a place of depression, overwhelming anxiety, or hopelessness, the last thing they can do is simply fake their way to happy and peace. In fact, they have often been 'faking it' for some time trying to push through. My heart goes out to those caught in this place. Of course, we want the right clinical help and a great support system for everyone- but we cannot forget the strength we can receive from the Almighty in these difficult times. (Please enjoy this free audio on getting close to God and getting His help.) Today's post takes us a little deeper than simply 'faking it'. Today I write for those who need to be carried through heartache, walked with through trials, and comforted through anxiety or fear. Who else could we count on for this help than the Almighty? In these times, let's not rest on the belief that we alone can push through, and 'fake it till we make it." Let's take action and get the help we need. Let's call on our troops for support, and absolutely cry out in faith, with all our heart. The Almighty will uphold us through the unbearable times.

10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
