Keep it deep in my heart the truth of your love being for us, unfailing, and with no conditions. This love so great that you sent Jesus, to wipe away my sins. (1 John 4:10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.)
And most of all Lord Jesus, there are no words... thank you... for dying... for me, a sinner, with nothing to offer but my wholehearted love, acceptance, and honor. (Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.) This Christmas help me to enjoy the beautiful Christmas trees and lights, but not without thinking of you Lord, the light of the world. John 8:12 I Am the Light of the World 12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Help me offer gifts with a joyful heart, while also sharing the true gift of Christmas, Jesus, and our eternal life. (2 Corinthians 9:7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.) And help me to embrace the opportunity to welcome friends and family into our home but to do so while putting away concerns of presentation and appearances over the importance of love and service. (Joshua 24:15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”)All Glory and Honor to you, Lord Jesus. Amen.
