Soft Words Turn Away Wrath

A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1

Assuming you saw the movie, The Help, you would then recognize this beautiful statement. We sometimes struggle for the right words in a difficult situation. The only guarantee we have of not botching up an already difficult situation is to respond in loving graciousness…with soft words.

This verse just touched me this morning. We don’t need to have perfectly eloquent words. We need loving gracious words, we can do this! Pray for God the Father and Holy Spirit to help you. They give us all we need to overcome the difficulty in ANY situation. Think on, all things good-whatever is true, noble, right. This will help keep your mind focused on love and truth, giving you the ‘will’ to provide soft answers even when under fire.

Today let’s take these precious healing words to heart.
