Put Away The Demands of Your Life and Rest

It is a quick and simple message today. One we know is true. One we simply need periodic reminders of. It is Sunday. You have done your best this week. We all need to restore, refuel, and reflect in order to move into next week with gusto.
“Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. Exodus 20:8-10
As centuries passed, and with the New Testament there have been various interpretations of the above verse. Yet, most still agree we must take the time to rest and restore. I tend to go like crazy most days. Learning to appreciate this down time has been so healing and helpful and I want this resting time for you all.
Put your demands away. Plan to do only life sustaining work today. Let the act of reflecting, resting, spending time with family, and enjoying your blessings heal and restore you for next week!
