DR IN THE HOUSE ON LOVING THE UNLOVABLE

Today’s Dr. In the house topic is based off several recent contacts I’ve had…
THE PROBLEM: How to deal with it when someone treats us unjustly and more specifically when it is someone we care about.
THE WORD: There are two verses I highlight in the radio interview…
But I say to you, love your enemies, Matthew 5:44
Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. Luke 6:28
THE GIFT: Many verses have a cause and effect like…if-then statements. However, these verses just say it like it is. It is a given that we know there are blessings to following what is written but I just feel this is one of those commands that simply is.
Love.
(no conditions, or limitations…just love because…because we are loved.)
THE CHOICE: It always comes down to our free will. We have been loved regardless of how bad and wrong we have been. We have been forgiven, understood, and accepted. Do we have a heart to do to others as we have had done to us? That is the question.
