Remembering who our ONE and only Father is—the Father who is through, in, and above it all!
One God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:6
After catching myself being too concerned about pleasing the world one day last week, I found this simple Bible verse to be the perfect reminder of where my heart wasn’t and needed to be! Many of you are getting to know my husband by now, and this is right in line with his witty and sometimes trying humor. With sheer delight after finding this image, I shared with him my posting idea and the photograph. I was getting ready to share my thought of adding the bubble boxes with “Father? Father?” when he interrupted me to offer up a title before I could beat him to it! “Who’s your daddy?” he said. Yep, that’s my Jeffy. Although it is not quite what I was going for, he gave me a censored laugh, and I thought I’d share it with you.
Isn’t it true, though, how we can so quickly get lost in our search and call for help, approval, or wisdom? How we can quickly look to the world and thereby give “the world” our time, energy, and peace? This cute little baby penguin shows just how simple it can be to lose sight of who our ONE true God is.
Our message today: Look up! Look over the false gods. The world holds many gods, but let’s stay focussed on THE ONE and ONLY true Father of light and life. The one who is LOVE, who offers us never-ending help, wisdom, and acceptance always!
