There are many verses that remind us of God’s great power over any man and all the nation. We believe them and yet still it’s natural to land in fear or doubt sometimes. Our nation is has been struggling, it is true. Especially when I look beyond my fences, the neighborhood I sometimes take for granted, or the blessings I am surrounded by. As I come to love God more completely…I see less and less of myself, and more and more of my brothers and sisters -“His children.” The nation is populated with His family. We are all in different places. None better than the rest but definitely in different places, different levels of faith, and God’s main concern is that they come to know Him deeply – to Love and be loved.

Today, I sit here with a bit more peace and understanding of what I can do when our world is in an uncertain place. I can do as told- “Love and be loved.” This will heal our nation. I know loving doesn’t always mean ‘to sit back’ and let darkness prevail, kill, or destroy while focusing on only one of God’s commands. So, today I am grateful for the joy and peace I have received from putting my trust in God. This provides hope as the Holy Spirit once again will direct our steps, AND our leader’s steps. So  today I will Love and trust…
