Listen “UP”

And he said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you. Mark 4:24
For the most part, if we are in big trouble we don’t waste much time before calling out to God. However today, I’m talking about the danger of us searching for answers when we are just a little confused or in wonder.
There can be a lot of danger in wonder these days. We have access to loads of “best advice” from books, magazines, friends, and family. Yet, as I was doing research for my book I was shocked to find how dangerous and ‘off-tract’ much of the ‘advice’ we have at our fingertips really is….some of it even claiming to be ‘Spiritual’ and to this, I say beware as well. When in doubt, there is one place you can ALWAYS turn to and ALWAYS know your insight will be loving, true, and will guide you.
Today’s message is based off a common statement I hear myself use when coaching. Here are the most common scenarios I hear myself repeat these two simple and impactful words… LISTEN “UP”
1. When people are simply trying to tear you down… Listen “UP”
2. When you find yourself confused or in wonder… Listen “UP”
To these two dilemmas I say…. tune your ears upward, seek God for your answers and for your insight…When you do this, as Mark 4:24 says, and listen to God’s reply, you will be shown even more.
Have a nice Sunday evening, and a wonderful week to come!
