Let’s Make the World a Cleaner Place

Let’s Make the World a Cleaner Place

Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Psalm 51:7

Northwest Iowa got a lot of snow last night, and this morning our world looks beautiful and clean. I feel reminded that each day I have received enough grace to arise knowing that my sins are covered like a white blanket. I receive this for no other reason than my faith and unconditional love from above. You and I can go on each day without the dirt of guilt and shame. How gracious is our Father!

This understanding can almost put me in a crippling desire to be perfect in doing good—as to not take advantage of such a loving gift. But that will only do the very thing I’m trying to avoid! So let’s live unburdened … and clean … and joyous … and hopeful each day! Let’s strive to do as good as we can, knowing that is just what we’ve done—as good as we could for that day, with our individual human circumstances, and with the tools we individually are equipped with! Today WE WILL DO GOOD WORK! And then tomorrow, as we reflect and see and confess where we have fallen short, we can simply try to do a little better.  🙂

Let’s do God’s work! Let’s spread love and understanding and grace. Let’s serve and give with loving hearts!
