Keep my eye on the good and simple things of the Lord

I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Psalm 27:13

It’s so easy to lose sight of our hopes, dreams, path, and direction. This world around us can take us on some pretty big twists and turns. Before we know it we can easily land in a whole new world, wondering how on earth we got to this new place… good or bad.

This is something I am very guarded on right now. I know my business will either grow or die. I am not interested in it being idle so while feeling called to do this work…growing it will be. However, every time I stretch out, in new growth, it lands me in an unfamiliar place. A place where I feel the need to tighten up the reigns. Home in, I call it. A time of reflection and tuning back into God and the call He has me on. I need to check in, just to be sure I am not off track.

Do you ever have this? Times when you grow or take off in one direction, pretty sure it is right, only to later think, ‘Whoa? Where am I?’

Growth is good. Heading out on a new path is great but we need to periodically ‘home-in’ do a self-check just to be sure we are still looking to the Lord for His goodness and guidance. This is where we find the TRUE LAND OF THE LIVING.

Today I’m encouraging you to take a look at where you are at, and the path you are on.

Are you moving onward? Are you idle? Or possible sliding backward? Either is okay for today, but the insight can truly help our tomorrow. My prayer is that each of us will step out in great faith. Faith that moves us in our work, our love, our giving, and really in every aspect of our life. It can be scary, but we need to rest in the peace of knowing God will keep us on the right path.

Let’s look upon the goodness of the Lord for our answers, our direction, and guidance toward the best destination… A place we are TRULY LIVING THE GOOD LIFE.

I’m going to home-in and get back to some heartfelt blogging. Today let’s look upon the goodness of the Lord!
