IT’S FRIDAY, MAY YOUR CUP OVERFLOW

IT’S FRIDAY, MAY YOUR CUP OVERFLOW WITH PEACE, LOVE, JOY, AND PURE AWESOMENESS!

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows” (23:5)

What does “an overflowing cup” refer to in this verse?  Well, God gives each man and woman as He pleases. In this case, referring to blessings and provisions, even around darkness. The Jewish practice was to intentionally ‘overflow’ the cup of guests so they would know that they’re welcome to stay as long as they want.  God has prepared the table …for us, anointed us (representing the Holy Spirit), and has provided… for all eternity. We may take of it and be overflowed for as long as we want.

I’ve had an overwhelmingly busy week and I find this a peaceful blessing as I head into the weekend with a heart to rest and enjoy, at ease. Regardless of our circumstances; joy-filled, difficult, exhausted or fully energized… God will provide MORE THAN ENOUGH!

With God our cup is never half empty…it is overflowing.
