Do You Ever Feel Alone?

We can sometimes feel we are alone on a desert island.

Other times it seems we are surrounded by many, united with the same cause. The truth is found in 1 Corinthians 12:12-27… and we are no longer alone.

Many in one body…

This image touched me this morning as I am fighting a cold and have a big week ahead of me. It will be a joyful time and I am so excited. This cold is getting none of my attention other than last nights good night of sleep, some vitamin C, and a bunch of fluids.

Regardless, I like how the shoes in this image are all different, and yet they actually have a look of unity. It simply reminded me of a bunch of different individuals appearing as one.

Two friends sent me texts this morning with prayers for health and peace this weekend. One Facebook messenger shared an idea for a future post. And, one sweet friend forwarded me a message from a successful life coach along with a bit of inspiration.

I wonder how good I am at remembering my sisters and brothers in Christ. These good friends treated me with the care they would most likely appreciate themselves.

I feel called to be more mindful of our ONE BODY.

Today, out of appreciation and enlightenment from some dear friends, our post is on truly seeing our church family, and our sisters and brothers in Christ as one body. We are all so different which is wonderful, but truly….WE ARE ONE 🙂

12 There is one body, but it has many parts. But all its many parts make up one body. It is the same with Christ. 13 We were all baptized by one Holy Spirit. And so we are formed into one body. It didn’t matter whether we were Jews or Gentiles, slaves or free people. We were all given the same Spirit to drink. 14 So the body is not made up of just one part. It has many parts.              1 Corinthians 12:12-14
