    Forum Description

2001fd49-26fb-4715-8147-9d119e9b00f7 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; Ecclesiastes 3:4 One might wonder what today's Bible verse and this image have in common. It wasn't until I added the quote in green that I knew what verse to find. After years of teaching, and leading I have learned that the quickest and most effective way to teach others is it to 'teach them how they learn'. There is a time to teach by example, by written steps, by video, by verbal direction...and so on. We are all different, and to think each person learns and understands the same-- shows little insight toward another. Most organizations have learned this and take great efforts to provide the public, their employees, and their customers information in various ways- in hopes to reach each and every individual. But think for a minute on how well we are doing this in our personal lives. Do I expect my very masculine husband to understand my tender thoughts and tactful approach while he is direct and serious? Do I expect my brilliant daughter to learn by watching when she can so successfully plow through written steps? Today I want us to consider one another -Let's think about those we hope to inspire, instruct or guide, and about how they best learn....and then, let's give them what they need.
