WHAT WE ALLOW IS WHAT WILL CONTINUE

Life lesson on allowing harm

Much like a Bible verse, some quotes just resonate on a particular day. This screams the simple truth… ‘What I allow- Is what will continue.’

We need to put a stop to things that bring us down, cause us to live in doubt or despair, fight with our willpower, and temp us beyond belief. Today, I want us to give both camps some thought. Let’s consider how important it is to put a stop to things that pull us down and how important it is to be persistent in carrying on with goodness in our life.

STOPPING THE BAD…WHY WE SHOULD NOT ALLOW THE BAD TO PERSIST.

TRUTH: No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” Luke 16:13

LOGICAL CAUSE AND EFFECT: A dishonest man spreads strife, and a whisperer separates close friends. Proverbs 16:28

FEEDING THE GOOD…WHY WE SHOULD ALLOW GOODNESS TO PERSIST.

GOD’S HELP: Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

BIBLICAL CAUSE AND EFFECT: Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9

HOW DO WE DO THIS… WHERE DO WE START?

1. Pray: to God everytime your mind goes south, for redirection.

2. Supplication: the action of asking or begging for something earnestly or humbly.

3. Thanksgiving: give thanks before you receive…showing great trust in the Lord, as well as an understanding of His power.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.”And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians. 4:6-7

You’ve got this friends. Today let’s commit to Philippians 4: 6-7.
