BE TRANSPARENT

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
I love 2 Timothy 2:15, ‘Do your best, for God’… then feel no shame at doing your best to rightly handle the Word. To ‘rightly handle God’s Word’ might seem an overwhelming and an unaccomplishable task. Consider how we are to ‘love our neighbor as ourself’ for example. One might think we are doomed from the beginning to fail….THAT IS IF WE CHOOSE TO OVERLOOK THE FIRST THREE WORDS OF THE BIBLE VERSE: Do-your-best!
We are not being asked to be perfect, we are simply being asked to do our best! When we do this we are being glorious examples of God’s Word lived out by imperfect people. Being transparent is so helpful for not only our own growth but also in an effort to be a good witness.
Others need to know we too struggle, we too mess up, but how we handle ourselves during adversity is what can really set us aside as God’s people. I have learned so much by watching others perform well. I get impressed and I recognize traits in others I strive to be like. I also try hard to admit when I am overwhelmed, mess up, or have fallen short. I want God to be able to work in my imperfections and I know admitting them is the first step.
BE TRANSPARENT as you do your best, even when you fall short… And let the world see all the beauty God is creating in you!
